Once we were just strangers out on the streets
Two lost souls seeking the promise of love
You sipped wine, I drank beer to music’s beats
Just passing strangers but for that first glance
When souls meet in the glimpsing of an eye
And then my lips somehow asked ‘shall we dance’
So we swayed to the music, thigh to thigh
Now as we lay here between cotton sheets
And wonder how one brief glance changed the game
To a promise of love we both dreamed of
And now as I kiss you I hear you sigh
As our eyes speak love in their own romance
And as we make love I whisper your name
Two lost souls setting our passions aflame
