The music video for ‘Burnin’ For You’ received heavy rotation on MTV when the network premiered in 1981, cementing the band’s contribution to the development of the music video in modern music culture.

In 1949 when he began working in figurate works Park destroyed many of his abstract works. Exhibited in 1950 at the Artist Members Exhibition of the San Francisco Art Association “Rehearsal” provoked surprise and consternation among Park’s friends, colleagues, and critics. The sudden change in style both confused and perplexed many of them, and some even saw it as a joke. The painting is a depiction of a jazz band rehearsal and the figures within it resemble members of Park’s own band at the time.
