Form: Raven’s Rovi Sonnet 65
As I sleep my silent fears grow too much
Like a giant tiger chasing my soul
As in darkness I dread the slightest touch
I feel I’m leaping mountains and rooftops
While still running scared with no place to hide
I’m running here, there, I can never stop
But the valleys are always far too wide
With demons breathing on my shoulder tops
I must keep running until dreams have died
These nightmares must die so I can be free
Sweet liberty from this demonic clutch
To then sleep easy, perhaps that’s my goal
Or is it time to face darkness in me
It is said in darkness is when we see
