I thought I could make my body home
yet a broken record played within my mind
endlessly chanting the same thinking
I don’t belong in her
you don’t belong in here
until I could hear nothing else
but the repetition of identity
until I understood
wherever I roam
this body is not my home
and the inner voice had to speak aloud
If you like what you are reading please share it and make my day. Thank you

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an ongoing project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever-growing love of poetry.
