Inspired by and written for Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – thank you GC and Sue
Form: Rubaiyat
Return to life in early spring
Farewell winter, gone is your sting
With warmer days calling the shots
And daffodils to make me sing
Heralds of spring in their pots Marking yellow all their hot spots And soon tulips of red follow While I plan out the summer plots
Remembering what grows below
I see the jasmine buds on show
My garden returns to that space
In vibrant shades it comes aglow
This is my peace, my sacred place
Where nature reveals beauty’s face
In Father Sun and Mother Moon
My senses and dreams find their grace
