The Stranglers are a rock band emerging from the punk rock scene in the mid-1970s. The band formed in Surrey, England with an aggressive, no-compromise attitude. However, they rarely followed any single musical genre and the band went on to exp[lore a variety of musical styles including new wave, art rock, and gothic rock.
