Dancing Solo

Dancing Solo
Form: Sonnet

I see her beauty where the moonbeams fall
reflected dreams that dare to see starlight,
can these vacated memories recall
the distant embers left by her each night.
With gentle whispered words love's flames incite
my prowling blue eyes to see passion's glow,
and is there time for one more kiss tonight
before she leaves for where all dreams must go?
Another night, still I'm dancing solo,
until we meet on the night of All Souls
and love once shared can shine in lunar glow
where vibes of passion the spirit cajoles.
The heart reveals the inner smile above
silent, like a rose, lost to tombs of love
