A Token of Memory
Form: Empat, Empat

Twenty-one years of missing you
And memories hang on my door
Good times, bad times, what can I do
But mark the day for love once more
And I know now time does not heal
Twenty-one years of missing you
And still our love is what I feel
Today I cry those tears anew
But grief is gone, our love still true
I feel you close and hold you near
Twenty-one years of missing you
Yet time made love become so clear
Our wreath of love now placed with pride
Reminding me not to be blue
For I know you are by my side
Thirty-five years of loving you

  1. This is so lovely, Jez. A real tribute to a loved one. You have captured so beautifully that loss brings such sadness, yet it is a gift to have felt (and still feel) so much love for someone. An evocative entry to the prompt, I loved it. Thank you so much for joining in with #writephoto. KL ❤
