A big thank you to Kl Caley for providing inspiration through her weekly photo prompt. You can find this week’s prompt right here – https://new2writing.wordpress.com/2021/06/03/writephoto-beach/
So on to my offering for this week

Not the clocks changing confusing the brain but summer holidays wading through sand because we had it planned yesterday when the sun was too hot a picnic with the kids on the beach sandwiches packed in plastic containers a flask of tea and a gallon of orange juice and swimming trunks towels and welly boots adventures exploring a rock pool finding crabs and starfish – right yeah, no you just know it is gonna rain!
I think a bit of Eurythmics with this one

The perfect British summer right there. It’s always nice until you want to out! Well done.

Many a day on the beach in the rain with my two lads when they were kids – they were determined I give them that – and the tears because we couldn’t take the rock pool finds home
Thanks you for reading Mason

I won’t lie. I’ve brought a few fossils back that I found over the years.
I’m so pleased that you took to the beach whatever the whether. They will remember those days.

AAAaaah lovely. I think that’s the secret to learning how to be British, enjoying life (and the seaside) in all weathers. Such a lovely evocative post. Thank you for joining in the challenge:
