Dinner Date

Form: Beymorlin Sonnet

Just like the warm embers love glows within
It’s waiting like we do for the weekend
And time to rekindle flames, skin on skin
And where you and me once begin to blend
The strike on keys flirting us through the week
Words baiting the desire of sexual want
The priming of sensual pleasure we seek
To share after the date; the restaurant
Your eyes catch mine as we eat, and I see
My heart expressed in those ways I don’t know
How to write; yet my emotions are free
Like sighs on a breeze kissed by your love’s glow
Dear heart, let’s make our way into the night
For you stir my hunger of pure delight
