Looking into his eyes
all I saw was the temptation
tormenting me with the impossibility
his eyes beckoning me
to let go
to surrender beneath the beautiful skies
at the edge of worlds
the worlds of men and of women
joined closer than lovers
yet so far apart
and he still held my heart
as I felt his breath
his breathing I could only deny
in the conflict of mind over body
and again, I said no
words were meaningless
as still, his eyes stared at me
until in the cadences of rhyme
the lyrics of wisdom whispered his name
without him I am incomplete
without him, my soul fades to nothing
and I called his name
in his embrace, I am stronger
masculinity absorbing femininity
in the words
